Walking Together for Education

On April 23, 2023, hundreds of passionate supporters joined us for the AEF Global Fundraising Walk, a powerful demonstration of our collective commitment to educational equity. This event brought together people from all walks of life, united by a common goal: to ensure every child has access to quality education.

The Day That Changed Everything

The morning started with excitement in the air. Families, students, educators, corporate partners, and community leaders gathered at our starting point on Lagos Island, ready to walk for a cause that matters.

• Distance: 5 kilometers through Lagos streets
• Participants: 500+ walkers
• Locations: Lagos, Abuja, and virtual participants worldwide
• Weather: Perfect sunny day

Opening Ceremony

Our founder delivered an inspiring speech about the importance of education and the impact each participant would make. Local musicians performed, and children from our programs shared their success stories.

Community Engagement

Local businesses along the route showed their support with refreshment stations, entertainment, and words of encouragement. The community truly came together.

Funds Raised

The event exceeded all expectations, raising over ₦5 million for our educational programs. These funds will directly support:

• 200 children in our literacy programs for one year
• Teacher training workshops
• Learning materials and books
• New program expansion into underserved areas
